I. What is the Gobi March?

On June 17, 2007 Grace's Eagles will embark on a 7-day, 150-mile journey that will take us through 1,000 feet sand dunes, 100 degree temperature swings and harrowing traverses with only the equipment and food on our backs.

During this arduous race through the Gobi desert in the Kashgar region of China we will not only push the limits of our bodies and minds but also experience the raw beauty of China's countryside and embrace its rich culture and traditions. Through this trek we hope to test our determination, develop our character and positively influence the lives of our friends, families and community. We have dedicated our journey to The Grace Children's Foundation which works to improve the lives of China's orphans through directed medical, education and humanitarian aid programs. We hope that through the global exposure provided by Fortune Magazine and Bloomberg News, we will be able make our race and the importance of the Foundation's goals well known to the world.
